2024 Maruti Dzire Spied Testing For The First Time

Although the new sedan has kept the current model’s form, it will include fresh stylistic elements inspired by the new Swift.

  • It will be similar to the new Swift, along with all-LED lighting, a 360-degree camera, and a rounded grille.
  • Similar layouts can be found in the cabin, with beige upholstery and a larger touchscreen.
  • Blind spot recognition, up to six airbags, and auto air conditioning are possible additional features.
  • They are anticipated to be the new Swift’s 1.2-liter mildly hybrid gasoline engine.
  • The launch is scheduled for June 2024, with potential starting costs of Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

The fourth-generation Maruti Swift, which has previously been spied on several times in India, is rumoured to be arriving this year. Therefore, it was assumed that the third-generation Maruti Dzire sedan was also under development; the first batch of spy photos of the vehicle have now appeared online.

What Do The Images Reveal?

The sedan is shaped similarly to the already available type at first appearance, with the main distinguishing feature being the flat rear that keeps it in the sub-4 meter class. Nevertheless, it will have a new look similar to the forthcoming Swift, with a large rounded grille and modified bumpers. The 2019 Dzire will also have redesigned alloy wheels, an improved appearance, and an all-LED lighting system. A 360-degree configuration is hinted at by the camera installed on the ORVM, which astute spectators will also note.

Cabin Details Observed

The inside design of the new-generation Maruti Swift and Dzire cars will likely be identical to the current models. The third-generation sub-4m sedan’s interior is partially hidden from the spy photos, but there is a hint of the updated cabin. The large touchscreen (likely the 9-inch model) and the beige upholstery on the new Dzire are noticeable features.

Expected Features F

or The New Dzire

Maruti is anticipated to include wireless phone charging, cruise control, auto air conditioning, push-button start/stop, and auto AC in the more extensive entertainment system, which is probably equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The new Dzire may also get electronic stability control (ESC), up to six airbags, blind spot recognition (as demonstrated on one of the Swift’s test mules), and hill-hold assist among its safety features.

Powertrain Check

The new Japan-spec Swift’s 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine (82 PS/108 Nm) is expected to power the third-generation Dzire. It will be paired with a CVT automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. However, there may be variations in the India-specific model’s specs, particularly about the automated option.

The 1.2-litre gasoline engine (90 PS/113 Nm) that powers the current generation sedan comes with a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT). It is also available with an optional CNG kit, which produces 98.5 Nm and 77 PS with a 5-speed MT.

Expected Launch And Price

We expect the third-gen Maruti Dzire to go on sale by June 2024, with prices likely to start at Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
